An Abundance of Talent with Every Performance

Dance in the park or in the streets to free music played nearly all day every day at the Sonoma County Fair.  It’s the perfect place to have quality family time with magic shows, thrilling acts and hysterical comedies to see. Anyone can come be a part of the daily parade or the youngsters can put on a “Holiday Adventures!” show. Fairgoers won’t be disappointed with the variety of entertainment. There really is something for everyone at the Sonoma County Fair.

Show off talents by taking center stage in this year’s contests. Blow the largest bubble, build a scarecrow, and make a milk moustache and more. All contests are free with Fair admission, and everyone gets a ribbon.

Whether wind up or wind down; Park Stage has everything from rock to country to jazz to blues playing all day throughout the fair. All headline concerts and daily live music is free with Fair admission. Pair cultural music with delicious food, shopping and more in Mexican Village; get on the dance floor at Park Stage from 1:30 pm to 9:00 pm, or relax at Brews and Blues is the hottest spot to be with a full bar and lively jazz music that will help ease into the night. Each day brings something new for everyone to enjoy.

There are many hysterical entertainment shows around the grounds. Watch a small-scale magic show that is perfect for the whole family, but be sure to keep all eyes on Godfrey the Magician as he adds some special ‘holiday’ touches to his tricks.

No worries about the heat, Acrobuffo will cool the Fair down with a playful water balloon gladiator show including comic antics, flying water balloons, and loud opera music. This show is fun for all ages – especially those in need of a refreshing cool down. Follow the sounds of loud music and equally loud laughter to find Water Bomb.

Be amazed at the Comedic yet thrilling High Diving Pirates of the Caribbean as they plunge from as high as 70 feet off a spring board or tower into a pool that “looks like a 50-cent piece” from up on the platform.

Stop by the new Family Fun Stage to watch some of the best San Francisco Street Performers. Three acts will alternate performing during the Fair, with three shows a day.

Grab a costume and march along in The Daily Parade with strolling bands, floats, and giant puppets. Everyone has the opportunity to join by playing a drum, twirling a baton, wearing a grape costume or pulling a wagon. There are possibilities to fit all talents and it’s the perfect time to show it off.

Take a tour around the Fair on a horse-pulled wagon. There are free rides daily that allow riders to roll past the sheep barns, cattle barns and livestock area. This is the perfect opportunity to check out the Fair’s famed Livestock Area.

Bird lovers of all ages will find lorikeets landing on their shoulder at the Lorikeet Encounter exhibit. Enter and get up close and personal with these friendly, colorful creatures. The interactive exhibits don’t stop there; see captive-raised reptiles, amphibians and arthropods from the near and far with Creature Features. View science artifacts, nature videos, hatching snake eggs, parrots, and even an alligator in this exhibit.

Every day is a holiday during “Holidaze at the Sonoma County Fair!” Get ready to celebrate from August 3 – August 13.
